The Survivor Circle is ASTRO's way of giving back to the cancer community during our Annual Meeting. Each year we offer two Survivor Circle grants of up to $10,000 to non-disease site specific cancer support organizations in the states that we visit during our annual scientific meeting. The Survivor Circle Grant program is an excellent opportunity for support organizations to advance their projects and get some recognition in the ASTRO community.
Groups who are interested in participating must:
- Be an established organization (can be local or national in scope).
- Be a support organization located in the state where the ASTRO Annual Meeting is being held.
- Provide support to patients and/or families of patients with cancer.
- Be non-disease site specific.
Congratulations to the 2014 Survivor Circle Grant recipients Kids Konnected in Leguna Hills, California and Breast and Gyn Health Project in Arcata, California. These two groups will receive their grants September 14 at ASTRO's 56th Annual Meeting in San Francisco.
