Survivor Circle

In 2003, ASTRO created the Survivor Circle as a way to honor cancer survivors. Each year, ASTRO awards two grants to patient support organizations and features them at the Survivor Circle at the Annual Meeting. It was our hope that by partnering with local organizations in the states that host our meeting, we would be able to not only give back to the states we visit, but also help raise awareness of these important organizations among our members.

Survivor Circle Grant

Each year we offer two Survivor Circle grants of up to $12,500 to cancer support organizations. The Survivor Circle Grant program is an excellent opportunity for support organizations to advance their projects and get some recognition in the ASTRO community. To date we have awarded more than $550,000 in Survivor Circle Grants.

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026 ASTRO Survivor Circle Grant. The deadline for applications is 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, April 17, 2026. Recipients will be recognized at the ASTRO Annual Meeting, September 26 - 30, 2026, at the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center in Boston.
